Asprito 10 Tablet is an antipsychotic medicine used to treat schizophrenia (a mental disorder that can result in hallucinations or delusions and also adversely affects a person's ability to think and behave) and mania. It can also be used to treat depression and bipolar disorders.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it..Asprito 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Asprito 10 Tablet is an atypical antipsychotic. It works by changing the action of certain chemical messengers in the brain that affect thoughts.
You have been prescribed Asprito 10 Tablet for relieving psychotic symptoms and manic episodes. It may take 4 to 6 weeks to see full effects on thoughts and mood. Keep taking it as prescribed. Asprito 10 Tablet is effective in treating manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. However, it's not intended for managing depressive episodes and should be used in conjunction with mood stabilizers like valproate for individuals with bipolar disorders.
Benefits of Asprito 10 Tablet may become noticeable after a few days or weeks of starting treatment. It can take up to four to six weeks to fully experience its effects.
Asprito 10 Tablet may cause prolonged and painful erections (priapism) in some individuals. It may also result in impulse control disorder, leading to irresistible urges or cravings. In such cases, the patient might develop an abnormally high sex drive or experience increased sexual thoughts or feelings. Asprito 10 Tablet is not approved for elderly patients with dementia due to increased risk of death. Dementia affects memory, thinking, communication, and daily living activities. It can also change mood and personality, further impacting this patient population.
Asprito 10 Tablet may cause drowsiness, sedation, dizziness, blurred vision, and double vision. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you experience these symptoms. It's advisable to abstain from strenuous exercise, prolonged exposure to heat, and dehydration by staying hydrated.
Asprito 10 Tablet may elevate blood sugar levels. High blood sugar can lead to coma and death. Therefore, individuals with diabetes should closely monitor their blood sugar levels and take appropriate measures like regular checking.
Asprito 10 Tablet may lead to weight gain in some patients. It can also increase cholesterol and fat levels in the blood. If weight gain occurs during treatment, consult your doctor for dietary and exercise recommendations.
