Arzine-P Oral Suspension is a medication used to treat symptoms of common cold, hay fever, and other respiratory tract conditions in children.
Oral Suspension
Arzine-P Oral Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Cetirizine, Paracetamol, and Phenylephrine. It is commonly prescribed in children to relieve symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, sore throat, body ache, and fever. These symptoms are usually associated with common cold, hay fever (allergic rhinitis), and other respiratory tract conditions.
Arzine-P Oral Suspension is for oral use only. Follow the dosage instructions provided by your child's doctor.
Arzine-P Oral Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Cetirizine, Paracetamol, and Phenylephrine. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks histamine (a chemical messenger) to relieve allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Do not give Arzine-P Oral Suspension if your child is less than 2 years of age. Consult your child’s doctor before giving such medicines. Arzine-P Oral Suspension may make your child feel sleepy. Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities. Never combine Arzine-P Oral Suspension with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects. Stop Arzine-P Oral Suspension and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties. Practice self-care tips: clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing, give your child plenty of fluids, restrain your child from having caffeinated products and foods that are spicy and fried, make your child gargle with warm saltwater, and ensure your child takes enough rest.
A cold is a respiratory illness that typically resolves itself within a week. If you're concerned about your child's comfort, consult your doctor to determine the best course of action for recovery. If their cold symptoms don't improve or worsen, seek guidance from your doctor. Persistent cough may signal a more serious condition such as bronchitis or asthma.
Ingestion of excess Arzine-P Oral Suspension can lead to serious adverse effects, including seizures, psychiatric symptoms, urinary retention, hand tremors, blurred vision, severe abdominal pain, and a rapid heart rate. In such cases, call your child's doctor immediately.
It's essential to inform your child's doctor about any other medications they are currently taking before starting Arzine-P Oral Suspension. Additionally, consult with your child’s doctor before administering any medication to your child.
Arzine-P Oral Suspension should not be given to children with a history of seizures. Moreover, the medication should also be avoided in children with cardiovascular disease (hypertension, heart disease), diabetes mellitus, gastrointestinal obstruction, increased intraocular pressure, urinary obstruction, or thyroid dysfunction. Always inform your child's doctor about their medical history and consult them before administering Arzine-P Oral Suspension for any medical condition.
Arzine-P Oral Suspension might induce mild drowsiness, potentially leading to sleepiness. Therefore, avoid using it to induce sleep and be cautious when administering it. Consult your child's doctor for guidance before giving this medication.
