Aristogyl-F Tablet is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

How it Works:
Aristogyl-F Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Furazolidone, Metronidazole, and Simethicone. Furazolidone is an antibiotic that kills bacteria that cause diarrhea by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering. Metronidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine that disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

• Drink plenty of fluids especially ORS (oral rehydration solution) to help keep you hydrated.
• Do not drink alcohol while taking and till 4 days after taking this medication.
• Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
