Aquagel Ocular Lubricant is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.
Your doctor has prescribed Aquagel Ocular Lubricant to treat dry eye disease. It stabilizes the natural tear film and maintains necessary lubrication so your eyes don’t get dry and irritated. May require long-term use. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution of this medicine.
Aquagel Ocular Lubricant is a type of artificial tears, used to treat dry eye symptoms. It's available as an eye drop and helps soothe irritation, burning, or discomfort from dry eyes. Common causes include insufficient tear production, infrequent blinking, smoke, wind, pollution, long periods using digital devices, medical treatment, or dry air. Aquagel Ocular Lubricant can also aid in inserting contact lenses and making them more comfortable to wear.
Aquagel Ocular Lubricant is effective when used as directed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you discontinue the medication before full completion of the recommended treatment, symptoms may return or worsen.
If treating dry eyes: Instil 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. If using it for lubricating soft and rigid gas-permeable lenses, apply 1 to 2 drops to each eye with the lens on as needed or as directed by your doctor. Blinking several times after instilling the drops is recommended. Consult your doctor if you have any uncertainties.
Avoid using Aquagel Ocular Lubricant in patients with known allergies to the medication or its ingredients. If you are unsure about your allergy status, please consult your doctor before use.
