Anz 30mg Capsule belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors. It is used for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease (gastric and duodenal ulcers), reflux esophagitis, or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It can also treat a disease associated with excessive acid production in the stomach known as Zollinger Ellison syndrome (ZES). It works by reducing the amount of acid made by your stomach.
Your doctor or nurse will demonstrate the proper method of administering Anz 30mg Capsule through a nasogastric (NG) tube. Open the Anz 30mg Capsule capsule and empty the granules into a syringe. Mix the contents with apple juice in the syringe, attach it to the NG tube, and administer directly into the stomach. After administration, flush the NG tube with additional apple juice to clear any remaining residue.
Anz 30mg Capsule is typically taken once a day, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If you need to take two doses of Anz 30mg Capsule per day, administer one dose in the morning and another in the evening. The tablets should be swallowed whole (do not chew or crush them) and taken at least one hour before a meal with water.
To avoid exacerbating your condition, it's generally recommended to limit consumption of foods that can trigger heartburn and acidity. These include: fried or spicy food, butter, oil, citrus juices (lemon water, orange juice), caffeinated drinks like cola or tea, alcohol.
