Key Information
Short Description
Sensitive Paste is a medicated desensitizing paste that contains Potassium Nitrate and Sodium monofluorophosphate in a pleasantly flavored base, designed to protect against sensitivity, fight cavities and plaque, and strengthen tooth enamel.
Dosage Form
Paste
Introduction
Sensitive Paste is indicated for sensitivity due to attrition and abrasion, natural gum recession, post-scaling recession, abrasion on the neck of the tooth, bad breath, and teeth prone to decay. It contains Potassium Nitrate, which blocks the nerve that carries the message of pain to the brain, and Sodium monofluorophosphate, which protects tooth enamel from bacterial attack.
Directions for Use
Brush properly twice daily for two minutes with this paste, and do not rinse after brushing for at least 30 minutes. Brush at a 45-degree angle to your teeth, cleaning every surface of every tooth. Spit thoroughly instead of rinsing with water to allow the thin coating of paste to remain on your teeth.
How it works
Potassium Nitrate blocks the nerve that carries the message of pain to the brain, protecting the tooth and preventing the feeling of pain when eating and drinking. Sodium monofluorophosphate protects tooth enamel from bacterial attack.
