This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying unless hands are the affected area.
Amrolwin Cream contains Amorolfine and Phenoxyethanol which treat fungal skin infections. Amorolfine is an antifungal medicine which stops the growth of fungi on the skin or nails by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Phenoxyethanol is a preservative.
Amrolwin Cream has been prescribed for the treatment of fungal skin infection. It also helps in the treatment of nail infection. Keep using the medicine even after the symptoms of the infection have cleared up to prevent it from coming back. Avoid getting in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. When using for nail infections, avoid the use of nail varnishes and artificial nails. Do not share your nail-filer to prevent the spread of infection. Inform your doctor if the infection has not cleared up after 5 days of treatment. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Amrolwin Cream may take a few days or weeks to improve symptoms of the infection. However, it can take up to 6 months for fingernail infections and 9-12 months for toenail infections to fully clear. This is because nail infections are cured only when the infected nail grows out and is replaced by a new one.
No, do not stop taking Amrolwin Cream until you have completed the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms seem to be improving. If your infection does not clear up after 5 days, notify your doctor for further guidance.
Keep Amrolwin Cream in its original container, tightly closed. Store it as instructed on the pack or label. Dispose of unused medicine properly to prevent accidental ingestion by pets, children, or other individuals.
