How it works
Amock-CV 200 Tablet is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.

Frequently asked questions
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Amock-CV 200 Tablet?
Amock-CV 200 Tablet can interact with other medications. Inform your doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting Amock-CV 200 Tablet. Additionally, consult your child's doctor before administering any medication to your child.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Amock-CV 200 Tablet?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with vaccine ingredients or cause adverse reactions in children who have been recently vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not be vaccinated until they recover from their illness. Once your child feels better, the vaccine can be administered.
Which lab tests may my child undergo while taking Amock-CV 200 Tablet on a long-term basis?
During prolonged therapy, the doctor may periodically monitor kidney and liver function tests to track your child's condition.
Can I give a higher than the recommended dose of Amock-CV 200 Tablet to my child?
No, administering a higher dose of this medication can increase the risk of side effects. If your child experiences increased severity of symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Can I stop giving Amock-CV 200 Tablet to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
No, do not discontinue this medication unless the full course of treatment is complete, even if symptoms improve. The infection may be completely cured, and the medicine may still have beneficial effects.
Can the use of Amock-CV 200 Tablet cause diarrhea?
Yes, Amock-CV 200 Tablet may cause diarrhea due to its antibiotic properties, which can affect helpful bacteria in your child's stomach. In case of diarrhea, encourage your child to drink plenty of water or other fluids. If diarrhea persists and you notice signs of dehydration (less frequent urination with dark-colored and strong-smelling urine), consult your doctor. Do not administer any medication without consulting a doctor.
Do all viral common colds result in secondary bacterial infection?
Most often, bacterial infections do not follow viral infections. Giving antibiotics for a viral infection can increase the risk of side effects. Use antibiotics only after consulting with your child's doctor.
The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
Yellow or green mucus in the nose does not necessarily mean that antibiotics are needed. During a common cold, it is normal for mucus to thicken and change color. Symptoms often last 7-10 days.
Is there any sign which shows that my child needs immediate medical attention?
Call your child's doctor immediately if your child experiences serious allergic reactions (breathing problems, skin rashes), gastrointestinal infections (diarrhea), and liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting). Although rare, these side effects are serious and require expert attention.
