Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of depression associated with anxiety.
Tablet
Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet is taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the blood. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Never skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Taking this medicine for a long time may require regular monitoring of blood and liver functions.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet.
Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding.
Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby.

Do not stop taking Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet unless your doctor tells you to do so. Try to keep your regular appointments with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other antidepressants. Inform your doctor immediately if you get thoughts about harming yourself or ending your life. Avoid alcohol while taking Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet.
Amitreat Plus 12.5mg/5mg Tablet is used in the treatment of depression associated with anxiety.
It can take a week or two after starting treatment before the effect begins to build up and 4-6 weeks before you feel the full benefit.
Common side effects include constipation, difficulty in urination, weight gain, confusion, and orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing).
