Frequently asked questions
Can I apply Amgargl directly to a large open wound? How about on a deep wound or a surgical incision?
Amgargl can be used as an antiseptic for minor wounds like ulcers, cuts, and small burns. However, avoid applying it to large open wounds or areas where the skin is broken, such as deep wounds or surgical incisions. This is because there may be increased risk of iodine absorption in the blood which could lead to toxic levels.
Does Amgargl stain my clothes and skin?
Amgargl has a natural golden brown color that can temporarily stain the area where it's applied. However, this does not result in permanent discoloration of your skin or fingernails. You can easily remove any stain with soap and water.
What are the appropriate uses for Amgargl?
Amgargl is used to treat and prevent infection in minor wounds, such as cuts, small burns, ulcers, and other injuries. It should not be used on deep wounds or clean surgical incisions.
How do I apply Amgargl solution to an injury?
Gently cleanse the affected area. Apply a small amount of the solution to the wound area. Cover it with a sterile bandage and apply it 1-3 times daily. However, avoid using it for longer than one week.
Can Amgargl affect my thyroid function?
Long-term use of Amgargl on large areas or prolonged periods might lead to potential thyroid dysfunction.
