Ambroflox M Syrup is given to children for the treatment of bacterial infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
Syrup
Ambroflox M Syrup is a combination of three active ingredients, including ofloxacin and metronidazole, which are antibiotics, and simethicone, a gas-absorbing agent. It is used to treat bacterial infections in children, including those of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
Ambroflox M Syrup should be given to your child as directed by your doctor. It is important to complete the full course of treatment, even if your child starts to feel better before finishing the medicine.
Diarrhea is a common side effect of this medicine. If it occurs, make sure your child drinks plenty of water.
Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Ambroflox M Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
The antibiotic ingredients in Ambroflox M Syrup interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA, killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing its growth and stopping the infection. Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem, aiding in the removal of gases and providing relief in stomach pain and bloating.
Diarrhea is a common side effect of this medicine. If it occurs, make sure your child drinks plenty of water. Your child may have an altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Ambroflox M Syrup on tongue) after taking Ambroflox M Syrup. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Ambroflox M Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Never use this medicine for the common cold and flu as they are caused by viruses and Ambroflox M Syrup treats only bacterial infections. Discontinue Ambroflox M Syrup and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Ambroflox M Syrup to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
