How it works
Ambdic MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Frequently asked questions
What is Ambdic MR Tablet?
Ambdic MR Tablet contains a combination of three active ingredients: Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone. These medications work to alleviate muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system as a muscle relaxant, while Diclofenac and Paracetamol target prostaglandins, which are chemical substances responsible for pain and inflammation.
Is Ambdic MR Tablet safe to use?
Generally, Ambdic MR Tablet is considered safe for most patients. However, it can lead to common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other less frequent side effects. If you experience persistent issues related to the medication, consult your doctor immediately.
Can I stop taking Ambdic MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
You should continue taking Ambdic MR Tablet only as directed by your doctor for the recommended duration of treatment. If you are using it for short-term pain relief, stopping the medication might be appropriate after the initial period.
Can Ambdic MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, the use of Ambdic MR Tablet may cause nausea and vomiting. To minimize these side effects, consider taking it with food or milk, or using antacids. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods while on medication. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water in small sips to prevent dehydration. If you experience persistent vomiting and signs of dehydration (dark-colored urine, reduced urination), consult your doctor promptly.
Can Ambdic MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, some patients might experience dizziness or lightheadedness while taking Ambdic MR Tablet. If you feel dizzy or faint, rest in a comfortable position and wait until you regain stability.
Can the use of Ambdic MR Tablet cause kidney damage?
Prolonged use of Ambdic MR Tablet may lead to potential kidney damage. As prostaglandins protect the kidneys, their reduction with the medication can potentially increase the risk of kidney problems. Individuals with pre-existing kidney conditions should avoid using this medication.
Can I take more than the recommended dose of Ambdic MR Tablet?
Taking a higher dose of Ambdic MR Tablet than prescribed can increase the likelihood of experiencing side effects. If you experience increased pain severity or if your pain is not alleviated by the recommended dosage, consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Ambdic MR Tablet?
Store Ambdic MR Tablet in its original container or packaging tightly closed. Always follow the instructions and information provided on the label regarding storage guidelines. Dispose of any unused medication responsibly and ensure it is not accessible to pets, children, or other individuals.
