Introduction

Alveodin-M Chewable Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and congestion or stuffiness. It contains two active ingredients, montelukast and fexofenadine, which work together to relieve symptoms. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Use it as advised by your doctor or check the label for directions before use. Take this medication by mouth. Chew it completely before swallowing or as directed by your doctor. Alveodin-M Chewable Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger called leukotriene. This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of another chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.

You have been prescribed Alveodin-M Chewable Tablet to help relieve symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and cough. Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Alveodin-M Chewable Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drink alcohol while taking Alveodin-M Chewable Tablet as it may cause increased sleepiness. Stop taking Alveodin-M Chewable Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
