Follow your doctor’s instructions precisely for administering Altadine Eye Drop in the eye. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the returning or worsening. Commonly seen side effects seen with this medicine include temporary eye irritation and burning sensation after administration. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or if your condition worsens. It may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use so not drive until your vision is clear.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Your doctor has prescribed Altadine Eye Drop to treat inflammation (redness and swelling) due to allergies of the eye. It treats short-term or sudden allergic reactions in the eye. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.

Be sure to inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. This is to prevent potential harm to the baby.
Altadine Eye Drop works by blocking the release of histamine, a naturally occurring substance in our body responsible for triggering allergy symptoms like itching, watery eyes, redness and irritation.
Before using Altadine Eye Drop, wash your hands. Do not touch the eye or the dropper tip with your fingers. Try to use it at approximately the same time each day, administering the prescribed number of drops. Do not exceed the recommended dosage and do not apply more often than instructed by your doctor. You should continue using Altadine Eye Drop unless your doctor instructs otherwise.
If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying Altadine Eye Drop and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your contact lenses back in. Do not touch the dropper tip or any surface with it to prevent contamination.
