Frequently asked questions

What is the optimal time of day for taking Allpride 100mg Tablet?

Allpride 100mg Tablet can be taken at any time of day, but it's recommended to take it at the same time each day to ensure consistent dosing. Typically, it's prescribed once daily and should be taken after meals. If the dose exceeds 300 mg or if you experience stomach upset, consider taking it in divided doses as advised by your doctor.

Why might I still experience gout attacks while taking Allpride 100mg Tablet?

When starting Allpride 100mg Tablet, some individuals may initially experience an increase in gout attacks (characterized by severe pain, swelling, and redness). However, these episodes usually become shorter and less intense over time. This phenomenon might be due to the gradual breakdown of uric acid crystals, causing fluctuations in blood uric acid levels. To minimize such occurrences, your doctor may recommend taking colchicine with Allpride 100mg Tablet, which can help suppress gouty attacks.

How long does it take for Allpride 100mg Tablet to reduce uric acid levels?

It may take several months before you notice a significant reduction in gout attacks or an improvement in overall symptoms. Initially, after starting treatment with Allpride 100mg Tablet, you might experience increased gouty episodes. Continue taking the medication as prescribed by your doctor, even if you don't see immediate relief from attacks. Your doctor may prescribe another medication to prevent initial attacks. It can take up to several years for your body to completely eliminate uric acid crystals.

What are the implications of consuming alcohol while taking Allpride 100mg Tablet?

You should avoid consuming alcohol while taking Allpride 100mg Tablet, as this can exacerbate your condition. Additionally, you should limit or avoid foods rich in protein, which may help prevent gout attacks. Consult with your doctor for a detailed list of food items to avoid. It's also essential to drink at least 8 glasses of water or other fluids while taking Allpride 100mg Tablet, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

Can Allpride 100mg Tablet cause drowsiness?

Yes, Allpride 100mg Tablet may cause drowsiness in some individuals. You might also experience dizziness or coordination problems. To minimize these side effects, it's best to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery. If unavoidable, exercise extreme caution while performing such tasks.
