Akira Cream is a procoagulant agent. In the presence of UV light, plasminogen (enzyme) induces the production of melanin (pigment) to cause pigmentation and dark spots in the skin. It inhibits the activation of plasminogen, thus leading to a decrease in the production of melanin. This is how it works to treat melasma and hyperpigmentation of the skin.
Akira Cream is used for the treatment of melasma (brown patches on the skin). Apply it as a thin layer over the affected area or as suggested. Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth, or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas. Do not apply to broken, diseased, infected, inflamed, or irritated skin, or to open wounds.
