How it works
Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension is a combination of three active ingredients: ofloxacin, metronidazole, and simethicone. The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA, killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing its growth and stopping the infection. Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem, aiding in the removal of gases and providing relief in stomach pain and bloating.

Frequently asked questions
Before giving Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension to your child, what information should you share with their doctor?
Inform your child's doctor if they have a history of heart disease, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy, neuromuscular disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, or genetic disorders affecting blood vessels. This is because Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension may exacerbate these conditions and lead to complications.
Can Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension be given with cough and cold medicines?
No, do not administer Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension with cough and cold medications. One of its ingredients can interact with alcohol-containing medicines like cough syrups, causing a disulfiram reaction and resulting in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, flushing, dizziness, etc.
What should you do if your child accidentally takes an overdose of Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension?
An extra dose of Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension is unlikely to cause harm. However, if you suspect your child has taken too much, immediately consult a doctor. Overdose may lead to unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat.
If my child shows no improvement after taking Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension for the prescribed duration, what should I do?
It could mean that Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension is ineffective against the infection-causing bacteria. In such cases, visit your child's doctor who may prescribe an alternative antibiotic with higher efficacy against the disease-causing bacteria. Sometimes, such antibiotics may need to be administered via IV route (intravenous injection) in a hospital.
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension?
Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension can interact with other medications or substances. Inform your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension. Also, consult your child's doctor before administering any medication to them.

Store Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension at room temperature in a dry place away from direct heat and light. Ensure all medicines are kept out of reach and sight of children who may accidentally consume them.
Can my child get vaccinated while on treatment with Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with vaccine ingredients or cause adverse reactions in children who have just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not receive vaccines until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be administered.
My child has been passing red-brown urine since starting Aitneflox OZ Oral Suspension. Is it normal?
