How it works

Aight SP Kit is a combination of three medicines: Artesunate, Sulphadoxine, and Pyrimethamine which treat malaria. Artesunate and Pyrimethamine are antiparasitic medicines which work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulphadoxine is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.

Quick Tips

Aight SP Kit is prescribed for the treatment of malaria. It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids and a healthy diet while taking the medicine. It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how the medicine affects you. Aight SP Kit should be taken with food or drinks enriched with fat such as milk. Inform your doctor if you have anemia. Inform your doctor if you notice flu-like symptoms such as chills, fever, muscle pains, and any changes in a heartbeat. You may be asked for a regular blood test once a week while taking this medicine.
