Introduction

Adeflox O Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that is given to children to effectively treat a wide range of bacterial infections that may occur in the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal infections, urinary and genital tract. It is a suspension that contains ofloxacin and ornidazole as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients tamper the bacteria's DNA, killing the infection-causing bacteria and stopping the infection from growing further without making them resistant to further treatment.

Adeflox O Suspension should be given to your child only for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Adeflox O Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.

Side Effects

Diarrhea Altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Adeflox O Suspension on tongue) Dizziness and sleepiness

Alcohol Warning

Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Adeflox O Suspension as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness.

Breastfeeding Warning

Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding.

Pregnancy Warning

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive.

Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case of diarrhea Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help with altered taste or furry tongue Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Adeflox O Suspension Quit giving Adeflox O Suspension and speak to the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing
