Introduction

Addphos Granules can be taken with or without food. It should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so. The medicine is generally well tolerated, however it may cause nausea and diarrhea in some people. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away with time or get worse. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidney or liver. You should also tell your doctor all the other medications you are taking.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. Addphos Granules may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Addphos Granules works by binding with calcium which makes their level go back to normal.

Addphos Granules helps treat high calcium level in blood that may have been caused due to an overactive parathyroid gland or some type of cancer. Do not take antacids (to reduce the acid level of your stomach) while taking this medicine as they may reduce the efficacy of this medication. Your doctor may get regular blood tests to monitor the levels of calcium and phosphate in your blood while you are taking this medicine. Avoid other supplements containing calcium while you are taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney or heart disease.
