Adclin Gel is a combination of two medicines: Adapalene and Clindamycin. Adapalene is a form of vitamin A which prevents accumulation of the sebum (skin’s natural oil), unblocks the pores and allows natural exfoliation of the outer layers of skin. Clindamycin is an antibiotic which works by penetrating into the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria.
Apply it as a thin layer onto clean and dry skin affected by acne. Avoid getting it in your eyes or mouth. If this happens, rinse with water immediately. Do not apply to broken, sunburnt or sensitive areas of skin. Inform your doctor if you notice unusual dryness, redness, and peeling of the skin. It makes your skin more sensitive toward sunlight. Apply sunscreen or wear protective clothing while stepping out. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Adclin Gel is not intended for individual pimple treatment and should be applied to the entire face. Regular application of Adclin Gel aims to treat acne overall.
Improvement may take up to 2-3 weeks, as results often become noticeable gradually. Continue using Adclin Gel as directed and consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve or worsen.
No, do not use Adclin Gel excessively. Overuse can lead to over-absorption of the medicine into your body and may cause severe diarrhea. Contact your doctor for further evaluation if you experience increased symptoms.
Avoid eye, lip, nose, and mouth contact during application. Do not apply Adclin Gel to cuts, abrasions, inflamed or reddened skin, or sunburned areas. Wax epilation should not be performed on treated skin as it may cause skin erosions.
It is recommended not to undergo cosmetic procedures while taking Adclin Gel due to the potential for increased irritation from abrasive, drying, or peeling effects. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns about compatibility.
Adclin Gel can make skin sensitive; therefore, it's crucial to protect yourself from prolonged sun exposure. Apply sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors in sunlight. Minimize exposure to extreme weather conditions like wind and cold which may lead to irritation. Avoid products with harsh or drying effects on the skin such as astringents or alcohol-based products.
