Acuvert Tablet is used in the treatment of vertigo (dizziness) due to ear problems (Meniere’s syndrome and other labyrinthine disorders), nausea, vomiting, and migraine caused by various conditions. Additionally, it can be used as a short-term treatment for non-psychotic anxiety.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Acuvert Tablet is to be taken with food.
Acuvert Tablet is a vestibular suppressant that blocks the H1 receptor and stops vertigo. It also acts as a dopamine antagonist, blocking the action of dopamine and showing an anti-nauseating and antiemetic action.
It may cause sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down to lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Acuvert Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness. It makes you more likely to get heatstroke. Avoid heavy exercising and drink plenty of fluids. It can cause your skin to be more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight while having this medicine.
