Actofenal Gel 4X is a pain reliever used to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, improving pain and movement of muscles.

How it Works:
Actofenal Gel 4X is a combination of six medicines: Mephenesin, Diclofenac, Lidocaine, Methyl Salicylate, Linseed Oil, and Menthol. Mephenesin is a muscle relaxant that works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain to further decrease the pain sensation. Methyl Salicylate and Menthol are topical analgesics (pain relievers) that work by first cooling the skin then warming it up. This cooling and warming up action interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves. Linseed Oil decreases swelling through its anti-inflammatory properties.

- Apply 2-3 times daily or as prescribed by the doctor.
- Do not use Actofenal Gel 4X on large areas of skin or near sensitive areas such as private parts or on broken or injured skin.
- Avoid applying right after bathing or shaving. Using this medication on freshly shaved skin areas can cause severe skin irritation.
