Actiful 2.5mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. This medicine is taken during daytime hours when people stand most often. But it should not be taken if you are going to lie down for a long time after the dose. You should always take this medicine as advised by the doctor and should never stop it without consulting the doctor. You should monitor your blood pressure regularly while taking this medicine.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Actiful 2.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Actiful 2.5mg Tablet may slightly slow the heart rate. It should be used cautiously when combined with other medications (beta blockers, digitalis, etc.) that can further slow heart rate. Patients must be monitored if they experience symptoms suggestive of a slowed heart rate.
You should not lie down immediately after taking Actiful 2.5mg Tablet due to the risk of supine hypertension (high blood pressure that occurs when lying flat on your back). Therefore, it is recommended to take the last daily dose at least four hours before bedtime. Elevating the head may help reduce supine hypertension during the night.
Actiful 2.5mg Tablet takes approximately one hour to show its effects, but the effect lasts for a short period; it persists for around two to three hours.

You may require blood pressure and kidney function tests before starting treatment with Actiful 2.5mg Tablet. Once you begin the treatment, consistently monitor your blood pressure and heart rate, especially after lying down.
Symptoms of supine hypertension include chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, headache, blurred vision. If you experience these symptoms, inform your doctor immediately. Your doctor may adjust the Actiful 2.5mg Tablet dosage or discontinue treatment if the symptoms persist.
Combining Actiful 2.5mg Tablet and metoprolol together can significantly slow down heart rate, so caution is needed. If you experience dizziness, fainting, or a slowed pulse after using both medications, inform your doctor, as the dose of these medicines may need to be adjusted.
