Introduction
Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange is an antibiotic medicine that helps treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is capable of killing bacteria that have become resistant to other therapies and thus also helps treat tuberculosis that is resistant to other treatments.
Directions for Use
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection.
How it works
Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.

Frequently asked questions
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange?
Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange may interact with other medications. It is important to inform your child's doctor about all medications they are taking before starting Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange and check with your child’s doctor before administering any medicine to your child.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange?
Vaccines usually don't interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a negative reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, it is important to consult your child’s doctor before administering any vaccine when they are on antibiotics. Once your child feels better, the vaccine can be administered.
Which lab tests may my child undergo while taking Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange on a long-term basis?
A doctor may periodically perform kidney and liver function tests during prolonged therapy. This is to monitor your child’s overall health.
Can I give a higher than the recommended dose of Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange to my child?
Giving a higher dose of this medicine can increase the risk of side effects. If your child experiences worsened symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Can I stop giving Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
Do not discontinue this medication unless your child's treatment is complete. Symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared, so continue the full course of treatment. This ensures that the medicine might still be providing positive effects.
Can the use of Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange cause diarrhea?
Yes, Aconmox CV Dry Syrup Orange can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic that kills harmful bacteria and may also affect the beneficial bacteria in your child's stomach, leading to diarrhea. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids if they experience diarrhea. If diarrhea persists and you notice signs like less frequent urination with dark-colored or strong-smelling urine, consult your doctor before administering any other medication.
Do all viral common colds result in secondary bacterial infection?
Viruses are the most likely cause of common colds and rarely lead to secondary bacterial infections. Antibiotics should only be prescribed if there is a clear sign of a bacterial infection, which your doctor can determine.
The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
Yellow or green mucus in the nose is not a sign that antibiotics are needed during a common cold. It's normal for mucus to thicken and change color as your child gets better over time.
Is there any sign which shows that my child needs immediate medical attention?
Call your doctor immediately if you observe signs of a severe allergic reaction (breathing difficulties, skin rash), gastrointestinal infections (diarrhea), or liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting). While rare, these side effects require expert treatment.
