Acnewar Gel is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The affected area should be clean and dry before application of the ointment. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. To avoid relapse, continue the use of this medicine even if symptoms begin to clear up. Some common side effects include oily skin, dry skin, and skin exfoliation (skin peeling). It may also cause skin irritation, redness, or itching at the site of application. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Avoid getting it into your eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, wash your eyes with water and seek immediate medical attention.

Acnewar Gel is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the production of folic acid in acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes) thereby stopping their growth. In addition, its anti-inflammatory effects help reduce redness and swelling due to acne.
You have been prescribed Acnewar Gel for the treatment of acne. Apply it precisely on the affected area as instructed by your doctor. Take care to avoid getting the gel in the eyes, mouth, or nose. If it happens, rinse it out with plenty of warm water. Do not apply it on broken, infected, or sunburnt areas of skin. It should not be used in children less than 12 years of age. Do not use more amount or more often than recommended as that will not make it any more effective but may irritate your skin. It may cause dryness and itching of the skin being treated. Inform your doctor if this bothers you. Stop using Acnewar Gel and inform your doctor if your lips, nail beds, or the inside of your mouth turns grey or blue.
