Acloveer 800 Tablet is an antiviral medicine used to treat viral infections such as herpes labialis, herpes simplex, shingles, genital herpes infection, and chickenpox.

Acloveer 800 Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. It may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose. You should drink plenty of water while on treatment with this medicine as it helps to prevent dehydration and kidney damage.

No, you may still transmit the infection to others while taking Acloveer 800 Tablet. Herpes infections are contagious, so avoid contact with your infected areas and others' contact with them. Wash hands frequently to prevent infecting others. Use condoms during sexual activities to prevent transmission, and refrain from sexual activity when experiencing genital sores or blisters.
Serious side effects are rare but should be addressed immediately if experienced. These rare side effects include hives, blistering or peeling rash, jaundice (yellowing) of skin or eyes, unusual bruising or bleeding, loss of consciousness, seizures, difficulty breathing, hallucinations, and swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat.
Older adults (over age 65 years) may experience more side effects when taking Acloveer 800 Tablet due to slower kidney function. These patients should drink plenty of water, have their kidney function monitored, receive a lower dose, and be closely monitored for neurological problems.
Overdosing on Acloveer 800 Tablet may cause nausea, vomiting, confusion, and headaches. Seek immediate medical attention if experiencing an overdose.
Patients with advanced HIV disease or those with impaired immunity have reported resistance to Acloveer 800 Tablet. If you're not responding to the medication, the possibility of drug resistance should be checked.
Hair loss is a rare side effect of Acloveer 800 Tablet. It usually stops when the medication is discontinued.
