Aclonova-MR Tablet is a combination of two pain relieving medicines (Aceclofenac and Paracetamol) and a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone). The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm thereby improving muscle movement.
Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Aclonova-MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Aclonova-MR Tablet. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.
Aclonova-MR Tablet contains Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone. This combination of medicines works by relaxing affected muscles to relieve pain caused by muscle spasms, cramps, or injuries. It also helps reduce certain chemical substances in the body that cause pain.
Rest is crucial for muscle recovery when you experience muscle pain due to injury or overuse. Getting enough sleep and managing stress will also help the body recover more efficiently. Applying an ice pack to the affected area may offer additional relief from pain and inflammation. If your pain is caused by another medical condition, consult with your doctor for specific guidance.
No, there are no reports suggesting that patients become addicted to Aclonova-MR Tablet.
Aclonova-MR Tablet is typically used for short periods and can be discontinued once you experience relief from the pain. However, your doctor may advise you to continue using it, especially if there are other medical conditions that need to be managed.

Both Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone in Aclonova-MR Tablet can harm the liver, especially when taken in doses higher than the recommended amount. If you notice any early signs or symptoms of liver damage like fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, and abnormal liver enzyme levels, contact your doctor immediately.
It may take about an hour to notice the initial benefits of pain relief after taking Aclonova-MR Tablet.
If you miss a scheduled dose of Aclonova-MR Tablet, skip it and take the next dose at your normal time. Do not double up on doses to compensate for missed doses as this could increase the risk of side effects due to overdosage. If you are unsure how to manage this situation, seek advice from your doctor.
Taking higher than the recommended dose of Aclonova-MR Tablet will not necessarily make it more effective. Instead, this might increase the risk of serious side effects and toxicity. If your symptoms are worsening despite following the recommended doses, please consult with your doctor for a reevaluation.
