Calcium carbonate is a dietary supplement used when the amount of calcium taken in the diet is not enough. Include calcium-rich food in your diet like milk, cheese, yogurt, calcium-fortified soya milk, and green leafy vegetables like spinach. Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement as the absorption rate might be affected.
