Directions for Use
Give Aceta Oral Suspension to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Aceta Oral Suspension does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.
How it works
Aceta Oral Suspension possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.

Frequently asked questions
How much Aceta Oral Suspension should I give to my child?
Please follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and frequency. This will depend on the medication's strength and your child's age. Refer to the label or information leaflet for specific guidance before use. The commonly recommended dose is 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours.
When will my child's condition improve after taking Aceta Oral Suspension?
Aceta Oral Suspension usually starts working within 30 to 60 minutes of intake and shows its full effect in 3 to 4 hours. You may see improvement in your child's symptoms after a few doses. However, if the pain or fever persists longer, consult your doctor immediately.
My child vomited after taking Aceta Oral Suspension. What should I do?
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Aceta Oral Suspension, repeat the dose. If it has been more than 30 minutes and your child vomits, no need to repeat the dose; wait until it is time for the next dose. Consult a doctor if you have any uncertainty.
Can I give Aceta Oral Suspension to my child for low-grade fever?
This medication can be used when your child has a temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher, but it is important to consult your doctor first.
My child’s fever is persistent even after taking Aceta Oral Suspension. What should I do?
If the fever doesn't come down after the initial few doses, this could indicate an infection (virus or bacteria). Consult your doctor to determine appropriate treatment.
How much of Aceta Oral Suspension is considered as an overdose?
The maximum dosage should not exceed four doses in 24 hours. Ensure there is at least a 4-6 hour gap between doses. Don't administer it for more than three days without consulting your doctor first, as exceeding the recommended dose can lead to liver and kidney toxicity. If you believe your child has taken too much, inform your doctor immediately.
Is there any special diet my child needs to follow while taking this medicine?
Unless instructed by a medical professional, your child should maintain a normal balanced diet. This is essential for their well-being and can help prevent any potential drug toxicity.
Where should I store this medicine?
Store Aceta Oral Suspension at room temperature in a dry place out of reach of children.
In what conditions should Aceta Oral Suspension be given with caution?
Aceta Oral Suspension may need to be used cautiously if your child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or any known drug allergies. It is crucial to share your child's complete medical history with their doctor for them to determine the safety of this medication.
Can I give Aceta Oral Suspension on a routine basis when my child is taking a vaccine?
Aceta Oral Suspension does not typically interfere with vaccine ingredients or trigger adverse reactions in children who have recently been vaccinated. However, it's best to allow the child to recover from their illness and complete the course of medication before administering the vaccine. Once your child is feeling better, you can administer the vaccine.
