Frequently asked questions
What interaction exists between birth control pills and Acebrofylin Capsules?
If you are taking birth control pills, your doctor may recommend a reduced dose of Acebrofylin Capsules, as the combination can increase the levels of the latter and potentially lead to side effects.
How should I take Acebrofylin Capsules?
Take Acebrofylin Capsules exactly as directed by your doctor. To minimize stomach upset, it is recommended that you take them with food.
Can I safely take furosemide along with Acebrofylin Capsules?
Use caution if taking furosemide and Acebrofylin Capsules together. This combination may decrease potassium levels, so regular monitoring of your potassium levels is necessary.
When should I avoid taking Acebrofylin Capsules?
Avoid Acebrofylin Capsules if you are allergic to ambroxol, theophylline, or Acebrofylin Capsules. You should also not take them if you have low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, a history of heart attack, liver disease, or kidney disorder.
Is Acebrofylin Capsules the same as theophylline?
Acebrofylin Capsules contains theophylline-7 acetate and ambroxol. This combination makes mucus more fluid and facilitates easier breathing, offering an added advantage over theophylline alone. It may also reduce the need for other asthma medications like salbutamol.
