Introduction

Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause both acute and chronic diseases. The Accurex HBsAg Card Test Kit is a qualitative test that detects HBsAg in serum, plasma, or whole blood samples, helping to diagnose and monitor Hepatitis B infections.

The test procedure involves allowing the test, specimen, and control to room temperature, removing the test card from the pouch, adding one drop of serum/plasma or whole blood sample, and then adding 2-3 drops of buffer. The reaction proceeds until the appearance of the positive line and control line, which can take up to 20 minutes.

The test kit uses the antigen capture or Sandwich principle, where monoclonal antibody gold conjugate (colloidal gold) and polyclonal solid phase antibodies selectively bind Hepatitis B surface antigen with a high degree of sensitivity.
