Accare Gel is a combination of two medicines: Adapalene and Clindamycin. Adapalene is a form of vitamin A which prevents accumulation of the sebum (skin's natural oil), unblocks the pores, and allows natural exfoliation of the outer layers of skin. Clindamycin is an antibiotic which works by penetrating into the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria.
Apply it as a thin layer onto clean, dry, unbroken skin affected by acne. Avoid getting it in your eyes or mouth. If this happens, rinse with water immediately. Do not apply to broken, sunburnt, or sensitive areas of skin. Inform your doctor if you notice unusual dryness, redness, and peeling of the skin. It makes your skin more sensitive toward sunlight. Apply sunscreen or wear protective clothing while stepping out. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
Accare Gel is not intended for spot treatment. It should be applied to the entire face to treat acne. Using it daily can help control your acne.
Improvement may take up to 2-3 weeks. It may take some time for results to become noticeable. Follow the medication instructions carefully and inform your doctor if symptoms do not improve or worsen.
Overusing Accare Gel can cause over-absorption, leading to potential diarrhea. If symptoms worsen, consult with your healthcare provider for a re-evaluation.
Avoid contact with eyes, lips, nostrils, and inside of mouth. Do not apply to cuts, abrasions, inflamed or reddened skin, or sunburned skin. Wax epilation should be avoided on treated areas, as it could cause skin erosions.
It is best not to perform cosmetic procedures while using Accare Gel. Cosmetic products with abrasive, drying, or peeling properties can intensify the irritation effect. Consult your doctor if you have any uncertainties.
Accare Gel increases skin sensitivity; therefore it is important to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. When necessary, wear sunscreen and protective clothing like hats and long-sleeved shirts, and protect the treated areas with clothing.
