Abronate-CT Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Clobetasol, Salicylic Acid, and Coal Tar. Clobetasol is a steroid medicine that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic Acid and Coal Tar are keratolytic medicines that break down keratin clumps, remove dead skin cells, and soften the skin.
