How it works
Abiflox M Oral Suspension is an antibiotic having ofloxacin and metronidazole as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria, thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.
Quick Tips
If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water. Abiflox M Oral Suspension may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Abiflox M Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection. Discontinue Abiflox M Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
What if I accidentally give my child too much of Abiflox M Oral Suspension?
While extra doses of Abiflox M Oral Suspension won't cause side effects, it is crucial to be cautious. If you believe your child received an excess dose, consult a doctor immediately. Overdosing can lead to unwanted side effects like seizures, tremors, severe headaches, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and irregular heart rhythms. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any of these symptoms.
What should I do if my child doesn't show improvement after taking Abiflox M Oral Suspension for the prescribed duration?
If your child fails to experience improvement despite taking Abiflox M Oral Suspension for the full duration, it may indicate that the medicine isn't effective in combatting the bacteria causing the infection.
