Introduction

1Mile Blue Round Twist Lancets are a small plastic cylinder that holds a sterile needle to obtain blood samples for blood glucose measurement and monitoring. It is a single-use lancet that is not made with natural rubber latex and has an ultra-fine needle to minimize pain.

Hold the lancet between two fingers, place against the finger you wish to draw blood from and press down until you hear a click, remove the lancet and place a drop of blood on the test strip, and the glucometer will display the test results.

The lancet is used to prick the fingertip to obtain fresh capillary blood, which is then used to measure blood glucose levels.
